Info on tens machine?
i recently recieved a tens machine from a physical therapist. it works fine on my back and hips. it seems to have no effect on my legs below my knees. in fact, i can turn it to max output and i have no feeling of it on my ankles.
Can I use my tens machine to help tone my stomach muscles?
I purchased a tens machine for labour and I was wondering if I will be able to use it to help tone my stomach muscles?I had my baby over 7 months ago and have lost pretty much all of my baby weight and just thought that maybe my Tens machine could help me tone my muscles.Also if I can does anyone know how to place the pads.ThanksThanks I will look into the ab wheel. Can a tens machine be used to tone stomach muscles?
I have a tens machine that I brought when I was pregnant and I was just wandering whether it's safe to use on the abdomen to tone up stomach muscles. It says on the leaflet that it cannot be used on the abdomen during pregnancy but nothing on whether it can be used if you're not pregnant to help tone up. I know you can get similar machines designed to tone stomach muscles which also use electrical currents, so surely using a tens machine would be no different?Has anyone used a tens machine for this purpose and if so, does it work?Just for reference the tens machine I have is a Tens care touch tens unit.

I haven't been able to find any info on if it is OK to use a tens machine if you have a copper iud. I know copper is really conductive, but does the current just travel between the pads? If they are on your back not near your abdomen should there be any issue? The manual says those with metal pins should not use the device. I really want to put the electrodes on my lower back but never actually consulted a doc about the tens because I didn't want to pay for the appt. I am a fairly paranoid person, and it seems like you can usually find answers on line to some medical Qs. But not much on this. Thanks for your response so far.
