Do i need any kind of orthotic shoes?
I am currently and have for the past year having a problem with almost every shoe i buy, i have worn through the sole of about 7 pairs of shoes all either ballet pump style or trainers, with varying thickness of sole from think to medium thickness in the ball area in the past year, these take from about 2 weeks up to about a month and a half to wear through to an unwearable state ie a slit across the whole shoe breaking the sole into two pieces . I have 3 pairs of shoes that have significantly thicker soles than the ones ive worn through and those are still showing a majority of wear in the same area with virtually no wear on the heal of the shoe.so i was wondering if i could do anything to stop this inserts othotic's anything else? ? buying a new pair of shoes a month is nice but it gets expensive and means i have to wear them in only for them to fail weeks later. I have size 9 feet us size 10 and think i have a normal arch, i may put more pressure on the ball of my feet when i walk and i believe i curl my toes up when i walk in shoes since sometimes they try to fall off because of this when i'm running but i may just do it while running my right big toe points outwards a little but probably no further than where the hour hand would be for 12.30 if it was placed on a clock, my toes are reasonably long and i have never broken a toe or any bone in my foot.There is more wear on the right side than the left but then my natural center of gravity According to the wii is off towards the right very slightly.

Orthotic shoes?
I have arthritis in my feet and i have just started a new job, and have been there nearly a month. I am constantly standing up with puts me in alot of pain. Do orthotic shoes really help?. should i see a podaitrist, a rheumatologist or both?.
